Getting started
If you're a runner
- Sign up with your email and choose Runner.
- Verify your email by clicking the link we send.
- Set up your business — name, optional description, optional phone. The app generates an invite code for you.
- Share your invite code (or QR) with the people you'll be running for. They'll scan or type it to pair with you.
- Toggle yourself Available when you can take orders. Clients will only see you as an option when this is on.
If you're a client
- Sign up with your email and choose Client.
- Verify your email by clicking the link we send.
- Add your runner — scan their QR code, or type their invite code.
- Both of you confirm the pairing. After that you can place orders to that runner anytime they're available.
- Place an order — pick a shop, add items (free text or from your favourites), and send.
Common questions
Does it cost anything to use?
No. Enable Coffee is free for both runners and clients. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no fees taken from your tab.
How does payment work?
Enable Coffee tracks a tab — a running record of what each client owes their runner. The app does not process payments. When you settle up, the runner records it in the app (cash, EFT, PayID, or other) and the tab balance updates. The actual money moves outside the app.
What devices and operating systems are supported?
iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Android phones (Android 9 or later). The app is free on both the App Store and Google Play.
Is my data private?
Yes. We collect only what's needed to run the service, never sell your data, and don't run analytics or advertising. See the privacy policy for the full breakdown.
Does it work offline?
The app needs an internet connection to place orders, send notifications, and sync the tab. Cached data (recent orders, your favourites) shows up offline, but you can't take new actions without a connection.
Troubleshooting
I'm not receiving push notifications
- Open your device Settings and check that notifications are enabled for Enable Coffee.
- Open the app — it tries to register a fresh notification token each time you sign in. Sign out and back in if needed.
- If you still don't get notifications, email support@enablecoffee.app with your role, device, and OS version.
The camera won't open when I try to scan a QR or capture a receipt
- Open your device Settings → Apps → Enable Coffee → Permissions, and grant camera access.
- Restart the app.
- If the camera still won't open, try restarting your phone. If the issue persists, email us.
I can't sign in
- Double-check your email address — typos are the most common cause.
- If you've forgotten your password, tap Forgot password? on the login screen and follow the email link. The link is valid for 24 hours.
- If the password reset email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
- Still stuck? Email support@enablecoffee.app.
I tapped the email verification link but it says "expired"
Verification links are valid for 24 hours. If yours has expired, tap Resend on the verify-email screen in the app and you'll get a fresh one.
My tab balance looks wrong
Open the order in question — the tab debit and any tip should match the receipt total. If the numbers don't add up, email us with the order details and we'll investigate.
Report a bug
Email support@enablecoffee.app with:
- What happened
- What you expected
- Your device + OS version (e.g. iPhone 13, iOS 17.4)
- The app version (Settings → About)
- Steps we can follow to reproduce it
Delete your data
You can delete your account from inside the app at Settings → Delete account. For a full description of what gets deleted and what gets anonymised, see how to delete your account.
